Archive.org is far from what it's cracked up to be. It lists hundreds of thousands of texts in its database but you can never get them. It has the worst search engine ever - conks out after just one page of results and nine times out of ten you get an error message when you try to open the page for a particular item.
I'd say a vast database is no good at all if the search engine is dreadful.
